Last Day - Cape Point

Our last day in Cape Town..we drove out to Cape Point, which is located at the tip of the island and connects two oceans...this is a national park where baboons run wild...we actually witnessed a baboon attack the lady in the red car...she was ok...but it was scary...we had a great time...i'm now back in the United States, relaxing and trying to recover...

Last Weekend in South Africa

Our last weekend in South Africa...Sharka and I met David and his friends out at the pub..where we watched the France vs Argentina rugby match...the place was packed with everyone excited to see the underdog pull away with a win...

Saturday our boss was here helping us wrap up our contract...he took us to out to eat at South Africa's most famous steakhouse...i had an awesome fillet...thats right...i ate a steak ;)

Sunday we spent the day with our clients at the World Cup football qualifier (South Africa vs. Zambia)...it was so cold we all had to buy team scarfs to try to stay warm...

One of my favorite parts of the day is when I go running on the Prominade at sunset!

Gardens, Penguins, and Salsa

This weekend was fun...we started with the South African gardens, however we are in the winter months so alot of the plants were dead...then we drove about an hour to Boulders Beach to see the Penguins...they were so cute...we stayed for several hours...then headed out for salsa night at Buena Vista Social Club...they had a fire going in the fireplace right beside the dance floor...which made it really hot dancing ;) but i had a blast anyway...

Night out with Friends

One of my best friends from high school lives in South Africa. We all met out at the Buena Vista Social Club, where they had salsa dancing ;) Sharka and I had a great time meeting local South Africans plus catching up with David! We left before the salsa started :( maybe next time...

Table Top Mountain

Finally, we actually made it to Table Top Mountain! We took the cable car up to the top, where we hiked around on top of the mountain. We had beautiful views and great weather...We came back and walked to the boardwalk to take pictures of the sunset!

It was ROUGH out there...after a 30 minute boat ride to shark alley...everyone on the boat was getting sick, except rob, russ and I who prepared ahead and took our Dramamine...the waves were 10 feet or taller..i felt like the boat was gonna go down at any moment...we suited up and got in the water, which was 30 degrees :( they threw the bait in the water and the sharks came right up to us...we were freezing out there...but was worth is...we had a blast!
